Enquire about this workThe personification of vice, apathy, and degradation surrounds a woman who seeks refuge under an umbrella with hints and accents of environmentalism. The umbrella is the shield, the refuge, the longed-for and refreshing shade; it is the shelter against human miseries and the deterioration of human existence. A paradox of life, where they find themselves in the shadows, abandoned to their fate; while she could be the antidote with her pastel-colored hues of life, she is marked by sadness, sorrow, loneliness... What burden does this young woman hide with her gaze lowered? Thus, Manuel Cuevas Vidueiro moistens his brushes in her bleeding wound... to justify the use of the relevant color.
